In a surprising partnership that breaks traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the formal release, "A strange meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome changes reverberate through the darkness." The narrative introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret cult.
The adventure concentrates on "bizarre tests and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Transformations
The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a powerful scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
